Pizza, Lights and the Sloans

Oh how I love this Sloan tradition. Every year (for I don't know how long) the Sloans have gone to Litza's for dinner and then to Temple Square to see the lights. It's crowded and cold, but I love it!!! This year was a little harder to work it into the schedule, but in the end almost everyone (except Kate) was able to make it.

Litza's was crowded and trying to sit 13 (I think) makes you have to wait awhile. Shawn and I got there half an hour after everyone else and we still had to wait a little to eat. But boy oh boy was it delicious!!

POUND IT!!!!

Next stop, twinkling lights, frigid air, and silliness.

The best part about Temple Square was the Sloan boys. Last year for Christmas Mike got all of the boys bearded beanies and they were a total hit that night. They all wore them (except for Shawn) and were the talk of Temple Square. For once I wasn't hearing "wow she is tall", but instead heard "Look that beanie has a beard!" It was pretty entertaining.

Jesse, Mike, Steve, and Dan. The attention grabbers.

I can't get enough of the temple at night, I love it!
Shawn and I had a friendly competition going that night at Temple Square. We had both taken our camera's, so we had a battle of who can take the best pictures. It started at home when Shawn grabbed his camera and I said to him, "You're going to take your camera too? Alright, but we all know who will take the better pictures." He accepted the challenge. So up until his camera died, we were jumping in each others photos and all that fun stuff. I am almost certain that I won!

Just notice this: two trees, one is light up and bright,
the other is dark and depressing. Weird!

I can't wait until next year for this tradition to come back around again.

Until next time....
