Christmas 2011...part two

Mine and Shawn's Christmas didn't happen until we went home from my moms around two-ish. We were both so excited to finally exchange gifts, but I'll tell you right now, it isn't the same when you didn't just wake up.

To try and make it feel like it was still morning time when we were opening gifts, we closed all of the windows. It worked for the most part.

Like normal, we first did our stockings. I decided that every year (well hopefully) I am going to wrap all of Shawn's stocking items. Our first year I did it just so he felt like he was opening more presents. And yes that was the same reason I did it this year too.

Even though our budget seems small to some, I think it is perfect. Shawn and I do a great job buying for each other with a budget of $100. Okay okay, we usually go over just a bit, but who doesn't? Any who, I got just what I wanted for Christmas. CLOTHES!!! Last year I told Shawn that is what I wanted, but he didn't listen. This year I made him take me shopping so there wouldn't be any confusion.

Shawn was also happy with what he got. I wanted to get him a razor last year, like he wanted, but didn't. I didn't want to waste half of his Christmas money on a razor. But this year, I did. I felt bad that he didn't have as many gifts to open but he was thrilled when he opened his razor. He tested it out and loved the fact that it will still shave while plugged in (his old razor wouldn't). Oh and funny tid bit for you, Shawn came out of the bathroom after opening his razor laughing. When I asked what was funny, he held up the razor and said "this is so you". The razor is black with white stripes. That comment makes me think I'm a tad bit boring.

Santa Claus gave us the BEST gift!
My new favorite shirt and my new ring....can't see it,
but it is there :)
Santa also gave Shawn a new puzzle (with a motorcycle
in it) and gave me the Stow & Go. Kind of excited
about that nifty thing!

Our loot from Christmas. It includes siblings gifts,
gifts from parents, stockings and gifts from each other.
Once we were done (maybe ten minutes after starting) Shawn played with his new razor and helicopter while I did this....

It was a very needed nap. I was exhausted!

Hope everyone had as good of a Christmas as I did!

Until next time...
