So what have we been up to since February? Well lets start with Shawn. HE GOT A PROMOTION! After 7 interviews to be an Assistant Manager he finally got the position we needed him to get. Shawn is now the manager of the City Creek location which he is absolutely loving. He has wanted to work down town for so long and finally gets to. Sad thing is, this still doesn't allow me to quit and be a full time stay at home mom, but it does put us that much closer. We celebrated his promotion by going to Ruby River just him and I, Leili was with her Grandma Soogie. Shawn and I were amazed when we were at dinner for almost an hour and didn't talk about Leili once. I saw on a show once that when you go on a date you shouldn't talk about or discuss the kids (which is actually quite difficult to do).

Next I guess is me. Not much going on here. I love only working 20 hours! So much better than working 40. I love spending time with Leili. Motherhood can have its challenges but I seriously wouldn't trade her for the world. LOVE HER!!!! (Don't think I can say it enough!)
And the most important update of all.... Leili. She is about 8 and half months and by far the chunkiest cutest baby I know. She is such a joy and we can't get enough of her. She is a pretty mellow baby for the most part. She doesn't like to be left alone however which can be challenging when I need to do something but we do just fine. She smiles a lot and definitely knows who her mommy and daddy are.
By six months Leili had two teeth and she could sit up on her own. She went on her first road trip to St. George (horrible drive back home) and went swimming for the first time. We noticed that she was more of a mommy's girl at this point when she started crying when I walked out of the room. She became an active grabber and weighed in at 18.2 pounds. She loves being out side and was sleeping through the night most of the time.
By seven months she weighed about 19.8 lbs. I stopped breastfeeding her and switched her to formula and HOMEMADE baby food. (Still not sure if the homemade is less expensive, but this way I know its fresh and not so processed.) We noticed that she only rolls one way, stomach to back and only to the right. We were also told by her pediatrician that her head was off the charts. (We aren't going back to him, but that is a different reason.)
By eight months she weighed 20 pounds (pure chunkiness) and had 3 teeth (all on bottom). I gave her a second hair cut and she really started babbling this month. She also decided that five or earlier in the morning was a great time to wake up. She also rolled from her back to her front without assistance or grabbing onto my foot. We are still working on getting her mobile except not sure if I really want that or not :).
I'm planning on posting some more stuff, but please don't hold me to it!
Until next time....
